Is this background remover really free to try?

Yes — previews of every image are free, no account needed. When you sign up you also get credits for 3 full-HD downloads so you can judge the quality.

How is NewRemoveBG priced?

No subscription for occasional use. Buy one-off credit packs (from $7.99) and spend per download: 1 credit for HD webp, 2 for transparent PNG. Subscriptions are there for heavy users.

Your image is sent to our AI provider only to perform the cutout. We don't store your originals or use them to train anything.

Which formats can I use?

Input: JPEG, PNG and WEBP (up to ~9 MB). Output: transparent WEBP by default, or transparent PNG.

Is this a replacement for remove.bg?

remove.bg is retiring its standalone tool on December 1, 2026 as it moves behind Canva. NewRemoveBG is a lightweight alternative with the same idea — free previews, no account to try, no Canva subscription.

Can I use the cut-outs commercially?

Yes — cut-outs you make are yours to use, including in commercial projects, without attribution.

How fast is a cutout?

Most images are done in a few seconds — the preview appears right on the page as soon as the model finishes. No queue, no waiting for an email with your result.

What photos get the best results?

Sharp, well-lit photos with the whole subject in frame. The model separates hair and fur from busy backgrounds, but blurry, noisy or low-light shots soften the edges — a daytime phone photo works great.

Can I put the cut-out on a new background?

Yes. Flatten it onto a solid white, blue or black backdrop with the one-click background tools, or turn a headshot into a compliant ID photo with the passport photo maker — same engine, spec-precision crop.

Does it work on logos and product shots?

Yes — logos, icons and product photos with thin handles or fine text cut cleanly. Transparent PNG is the usual export for those, since design tools and marketplaces expect it.

remove.bg is moving to Canva (Dec 1, 2026). NewRemoveBG keeps the same one-click background removal — free to try.

A focused background removerA focused background remover, not a bloated editor — one job, done well: your subject cleanly separated from its background at full quality.

Precise edges Hair, fur and soft edges survive the cut — the model follows every strand instead of snapping to a hard outline, so portraits and pet photos hold up at full size.

Full resolution Cut-outs come back at your original resolution, not a preview thumbnail — sharp enough for print sheets, marketplace listings and full-screen hero sections.

WEBP & transparent PNG Lossless WEBP by default, or true transparent PNG when a marketplace, printer or design tool asks for it — the alpha channel is preserved exactly.
